BIOGRAPHY

Woodworking was Walker's entry into making and instilled in him a love of learning from a young age. He is always learning something new; what began at the workbench has since expanded into 3D printing, 3D modeling, CNC machining, water jetting and laser cutting.

After graduating from Wheaton College with a degree in biochemistry, Walker started his career researching cancer biology at Dana Farber Cancer Institute within the Harvard Institute of Medicine as a research technician. He went on to receive a Master's degree in Cell Biology from Yale Medical School.

During grad school his passion for hands-on innovation blossomed as he volunteered at a community makerspace in New Haven. This experience, and his lifelong love of making, prompted him to enter the makerspace world professionally leading to his current position as the makerspace coordinator at the university of New Haven.

Outside of making you can find him running trail ultramarathons, triathlons, gardening, hiking or playing pickleball.
